U10-U12 Academy Coach / Head Coach

U13-U19 Academy Coach / Head Coach

Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site role for a Head Coach for the U10-U13 age groups based in Calgary, AB. Hours will range between 4-6 hours/week per team with the ability to increase them by coaching in our Academy program.

Head coaches are responsible for planning and leading training sessions, managing team strategies, mentoring players, and supporting their growth in both soccer skills and life skills. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with Chinooks coaching staff, communicating effectively with players and their families, and contributing to fostering a strong, supportive club culture. The coach will also ensure adherence to league rules and uphold the values of Chinooks FC.

 

Qualifications

Experience in soccer coaching, including training plans, skill development, and game strategy
Strong communication skills to engage players, staff, and families
Background in coaching or education with a focus on player development
Knowledge of club operations, CMSA regulations, and team management
First aid training preferred
Passion for developing athletes both on and off the field
Proven leadership, professionalism, and ability to motivate teams

 

Coaching Requirements

Police Clearance with Vulnerable Search
Coach Education through Soccer Canada

  • Respect in Sport online course (all age groups)
  • Learn To Train online & practical course (U10-U12)
  • Soccer for Life online & practical course (U12-U19)
