U7 & U8
U8 Boys
…from coach Chris
The U8 Boys had their last gameday of the spring/summer season this weekend. The boys continued their strong play across all 4 teams with the boys showcasing the dribbling skills we’ve been working on in training as well as some passing to help create scoring opportunities. Hendrik and Jabari were among the goals in their 3 minigames ably supported by some strong dribbling from Bowen and Neil. Lennart showcased some strong ball skills while Mickey and Jett contributed with strong all-around play. Lincoln was very strong defensively while Anders and Eli were among the goals this weekend. Kendal, Emmet, and Ethan all demonstrated their continued growth with some incredibly impressive performances. All three have been improving their dribbling skills over the course of the season and it led to numerous goals for all three of them. With training continuing over the summer, I’m sure the U8 group will continue to develop and enjoy their soccer until gamedays pick up again late in August!
U9
U9 Boys
The U9 boys Fiorentina team played their postponed Bronze medal game this weekend against the Rangers. The boys started down 0-2 in the first half and brought it all together in the second half to finish 3-2! We saw so many great things come together in this game. Congratulations boys for winning Bronze!

Foxes played MUSC on Saturday morning for the rescheduled Okotoks Bronze Medal Game. Unfortunately we fell short losing 5-2 in a very competitive game. The boys later had a league against Blizzard Timbers where they won 4-3 . It was a great day with Charlie , Nicolas and Max scoring their first goals ever. Lastly it was Abyad last game if the season as he heads to Pakistan for a few months.Well done Foxes .

Barça 2012
…from coach Sal
The team had a midweek game against Foothills Prospect team. First half was a mid-field battle as both teams did not generate many goal scoring opportunites. Barca played well defensively but transition to attack lacked. Second half saw Barca mount some transition attacks and managed to score a goal. Final result Barca 1 – Foothills 3. MVP of the game was Zach Germaine. Congrats to Zach and well done to all the players.
Sunday morning ew had an early kickoff versus CalGlen Blaze 12 and team Barca played one of their best games of the outdoor season. Players demonstrated their willingness to be agreesive on the ball and pressing attack. A very close game with several attempts on goal. Barca came from behind from 1-0 and 2-1 deficits, however the final score was a 3-2. Congrats to game MVP Jackson Northcott.
