U4-U10 COMMUNITY GRASSROOTS PROGRAMS

A Fun & Supportive Soccer Experience for Young Players (Ages 3-10)

Chinooks FC is proud to partner with the communities of Varsity, Parkdale, Banff Trail and Rutland Park to create a grassroots soccer program designed for young players (ages 3-10) who are new to soccer or looking for a low-pressure, fun-focused environment.

Our program prioritizes skill development, teamwork, and confidence-building in an engaging and supportive setting.

Whether your child is taking their first steps in the sport or simply looking for an inclusive way to play, our Community Grassroots Program is the perfect fit!

U7-U9 CMSA PROGRAM

A PRE-COMPETITIVE PROGRAM FOCUSING ON SKILL DEVELOPMENT FOR 6-9 YEAR OLDS

The Chinooks U7-U9 Program follows the Canada Soccer Long Term Player Development Fundamentals and Learn to Train stages.  Chinooks  U7-U9 Skills Centre Training is highly structured and follows a season-long curriculum. 

U9 Players are strongly encouraged to sign up for our Evolution Academy program. Academy sessions focus on key technical and tactical skills such as short and long passing, dribbling, finesse and power shots, and more.

U10-U11 CMSA PROGRAM

FLEXIBLE PROGRAMS FOR 9-12 YEAR OLDS

The Chinooks U10-U11 program follows the Canada Soccer Long Term Player Development Learn to Train stage.  U10 players can choose their level of commitment between our Developmental and Developmental Plus programs.

Evolution Academy is a mandatory third weekly session for Developmental Plus players and is recommended for all players regardless of their tier.  Academy sessions focus on key technical and tactical skills such as short and long passing, dribbling, finesse and power shots, and more.

U12-U19 CMSA PROGRAM

PROGRAMS FOR ALL ABILITIES FOR 11-19 YEAR OLDS

The Chinooks U12-U19 program follows the Canada Soccer Long Term Player Development Learn to Train and Soccer for Life stages.   Players and teams are evaluated and tiered by ability from Tier 1-5.  Teams in Tier 1-3 will train 3 times a week, wheareas Teams in Tier 4 or 5 will train 2 times a week.

Evolution Academy is a mandatory third weekly session for tier 1-3 players and is recommended for all players regardless of their tier.  Academy sessions focus on key technical and tactical skills such as short and long passing, dribbling, finesse and power shots, and more.

Speed, Agility and Quickness (SAQ) sessions with Balsom Sports Performance are included in our U13+ Academy program. Each SAQ session will include a soccer-specific warm up and cool down, alongside drills working on improving strength, movement efficiency, sprint and change of direction mechanics, and importantly endurance work. By encompassing all of these elements into our programming, this ensures players can transfer these physical improvements onto the field, where it matters most.

Video Player Analysis is offered to all families U12 and above. Chinooks FC uses TRACEUP Camera technology to record matches for analysis and development purposes. All matches are recorded for teams enrolled in the TRACEUP subscription.

Players and their families receive individual player highlight packages from every recorded match, allowing players to review their own actions, reflect on performance, and engage with their development on an ongoing basis. Team coaches also receive access to both full-match footage and individual highlights to support alignment between video insights and on-field coaching.
